IcyHeart at DATE 2013

Mar 29, 2013

The Design, Automation, and Test in Europe (DATE) 2013 conference was held in Grenoble, France on 18-22 March 2013. DATE combines the one of the world’s leading electronic systems design and test conference with an international exhibition for electronic design, automation and test, from system-level hardware and software implementation right down to integrated circuit design.

IcyHeart’s partner EPFL presented its research paper titled:  “A Methodology for Embedded Classification of Heartbeats Using Random Projections”, authored by Rubén Braojos, Giovanni Ansaloni and David Atienza. The work presents a light-weight strategy to automatically discriminate between normal and abnormal heartbeats, validating the results on the IcyHeart platforms and leveraging the algorithms for signal filtering and delineation developed during the IcyHeart project.
The paper will be part of the conference proceedings, available to the scientific community via the IEEE portal.

Abstract of the paper is available here.

The IcyHeart project has received funding form the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme (Capacities, Research for the Benefit of SMEs) managed by REA – Research Executive Agency under Grant Agreement No. 286130.
